When I run phpMyEditSetup.php for the first time I get the following page:

Please log in to your MySQL database

Hostname:
Username:
Password:
Database:
Table:

Now what do I enter in the Table part? I have tried various things but I get the following page everytime:

Quote:
Please select an identifier from table: what I enter in Table

This field will be used in change, view, copy and delete operations.

The field should be numeric and must uniquely identify a record.

Please note, that there were problems reported by phpMyEdit users regarding using MySQL reserved word as unique key name (the example for this is "key" name). Thus we recommend you to use another name of unique key. Usage of "id" or "ID" should be safe and good idea.

I am getting the same error. My first field is an int set as unique and auto increment.

Any thoughts? The documentation does not seem to be for the current release, as this initial form is not the same as the documentation.

Many thanks from a PHP noob.

I *think* what that is asking you is to choose a table that you are going to build the form/webpage around.

And the thing with the "key" is just saying that when you do pick a table, make sure it has a "primary key" column to identify it by.

Then again, i could be wrong.

If you leave the 'Database' and 'Table' fields blank the next page will provide a prompt for the database and then the table, making the whole thing easier...
