Just installed v 5.4 on an Apache server.
When I try to run phpMyEditSetup.php the server returns
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
and the error_log has:

script not found or unable to stat: [...]phpMyEdit-5.4/phpMyEditsetup.php
failed to open log file
fopen: Permission denied

Any idea what log file this is? Or is there another reason for this error?

should not it be phpMyEditSetup.php (capital S) ?
is your apache working (with other php scripts) ?

Sorry, the error_log message i should have pasted:
Premature end of script headers: [...]/cgi-bin/phpMyEdit-5.4/phpMyEditSetup.php
and, yes, I'm running several other php scripts successfully.
I've tried unpacking and uploading the files again, no change.
The scripts look fine in my text editor.
Anything else to check?

The error you have pasted about the premature end of the phpmyedit. If you will face any problem regarding PHP Language then you can visit on
