Hello!

A libcfg+ documentation says:

Quote:

Of the basic data types, only strings are dynamically allocated and in that case value points to a portion of memory allocated with malloc() function. Do not forget to free that memory when you do not need it anymore using the free() function. If the CFG_MULTI_ARRAY or the CFG_MULTI_SEPARATED flag was used, value will point to a NULL terminated array of a basic type. It can be freed using cfg_strdyn_free().

but there is no cfg_strdyn_free() function in a library!

I have done:

Code:

find . -type f -exec grep -l cfg_strdyn_free {} \;

and have found that string "cfg_strdyn_free" exists only in doc and binary lib files. I'have also checked standard include directory (/usr/include).

If this is not standard function imported from other libraries and it is not defined in ANY source file, how it goes to final binary lib files?!?

And what is this function prototype?

Best regards for everyone reading this note.

We are using some libplaton string functions in the libcfg+ library. They are packed out with other sources, see src/platon/str/ directory for more information.

http://opensource.platon.sk/cvs/cvs.php/libcfg%2b/src/platon/str/strdyn.h

As you can see there are these two functions:

Code:

void PLATON_FUNC(strdyn_free)(char **ar);
void PLATON_FUNC(strdyn_safe_free)(char **ar);

The purpose of PLATON_FUNC() macro is to define function names prefix. Prefix in our libcfg+ library is of course cfg_ .

Thus you can simply grep for strdyn_free or you can look at exported symbols in compiled library file:

Code:

ondrej@Nepto src $ nm libcfg+.so.0.6.2 | grep strdyn_free
00005720 T cfg_strdyn_free
ondrej@Nepto src $

Let me know if this answer helps you.
