Hey everyone,
With the temperatures dropping fast over the last couple of weeks, I figured it was time to finally get our heating system checked out. Last winter, our unit started making this weird clicking sound every time it kicked on, and a few of the back bedrooms were barely getting any warm air at all.
I was initially hoping it was just a bad sensor or a clogged filter, so I called in a technician to take a look. After a thorough inspection, it turned out the blower motor was struggling and the igniter was on its last legs. Given the age of the unit, we ended up discussing whether it made more sense to keep patching it up or just invest in a proper

with First Choice Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning to avoid continuous breakdown costs.
We ultimately decided to go ahead with the full upgrade to a high-efficiency model, and the difference in both airflow and quiet operation has been night and day. Plus, our monthly heating bills are already looking a lot more manageable compared to last year.
For those of you with older homes in the area, how do you usually decide when it's time to stop paying for repairs and finally upgrade your setup? Would love to hear how others handle seasonal prep for their heating systems!
