Forgive me if this is posted elsewhere, but I would like to suggest (if it's not already done) and possibly contribute $ toward someone integrating an image upload/resize/thumbnail module, I built a hack to use it for a website of mine, but it's not very good and/or smooth. I would pay someone to do it, but I would rather pay toward having someone include it in the next official/beta release, so everyone could use it, as I think it would be useful for many people :) Here are the features I would envision:
1. Upload button (with progress bar would be cool, but I know that's Javascript, right?)
2. after upload generate 2 images stored in a folder, a thumbnail and some other specified cropped size
3. When I'm on the view/add/change/delete panel, display the thumbnail there. Right now I'm using GD to do it, though I guess ImageMagick would work too.
4. Remove space out of the filename and convert all letters to lower case.
I know these things aren't all that hard, but they're slightly above my skill, and anyway, I would rather have the feature available to everyone. If this doesn't make it in the next release, I would still be willing to pay someone to hack my current setup, but hopefully we'll get it put in the next release for the community.
