I don't think it's worth explaining why film criticism exists. In this short post, I will outline how to write a movie critique because criticism is a good engine both for the development of cinematography and for the development of mindfulness and analytical skills.
So, first, you should watch the movie. Then, to recreate the plot: how did it all start, how did it end, what were the characters, and so on? Why exactly like that? Perhaps it is worth analyzing the work behind Propp (the main characters, assistants, villains and so on), compare with the original source - manga, comics, book, film (and this happens).
Later, when you write the above, you should look at some resource for the chronologically correct development of events (for example, Wikipedia can help you with this) - in order not to be mistaken in the "retelling".
And after, leave your impressions. This will be criticism: I don’t care about color correction (it’s not pretty, or the whole film changes - and there’s no message in that), or bad acting, bad script, big budget, but bad graphics and scenery, and so on. It will inspire people and you will definitely get feedback.
