Use only professional car cleaning products on your vehicle to avoid damage.
Wash hard-to-reach places, such as wheels and fenders.
Wash your car door jam.
Rinse clothes frequently to avoid residue from scratching the paint.
Clean tires and rims with a different body cloth.
Electricity - check electrical components every 6 months

Check the batteries and clean the contacts if necessary. There may be a build-up of metal on the battery contacts and if there is, buy a battery cleaning brush to save some money instead of going to the auto shop. Most batteries don't require much maintenance but it's a good idea to know where the battery is and what problems you might encounter.
Check the spark plugs to see if they are damaged or have buildup - if your engine is not running efficiently.
