I'm looking for testers for the updated HTMLCAL extension posted as phpMyEdit-htmlcal.class.php.xinha in bug report #305 - http://opensource.platon.sk/projects/bug_view_advanced_page.php?f_bug_id=305

Note that this version of the extension needs to use the Xinha fork of HTMLArea ( http://xinha.gogo.co.nz ) - the standard HTMLArea script will not work.

I believe that there is still a problem with it initialising the fields, especially in IE. Sometimes you need to do a refresh to get the fields to display properly. I'm having difficulty tracking down when it works and when it doesn't.

Please could you put any feedback onto this thread.

Thanks

Adam

I will be testing tonight on FF(PC)/FF(mac)/IE6(PC)

Do I need to use the latest version of PME in CVS with this extension?

hmmm... well I didn't get as far as I would have liked. I got this JavaScript error (or a variation of) in every browser:

PME_cur_tab is undefined.

I don't have any PME tabs set on any of the pages I was working with. Could the extension be set to only work with tabbed pages right now?

BTW: I am using the latest version of PME from CVS, the xinha latest release (not the nightly version), and the nex xinha class extension.

Groan! You're right of course! I was so focused on fixing the tab problem that I forgot about the non-tab situation.

LOL. I do that all the time.

I am going out of town tomorrow through Monday evening so I may not be able to test this out until I return. Thanks again for your efforts.

Sorry - I'm travelling this week, back home next week. Hopefully I'll get a chance to do some more work on it on the flight back home.

New extension now posted to CVS. It is called mce_cal and now uses the TinyMCE editor. Full instructions in the file itself.

ajh,

thanks so much for working on this. I am going to check this out asap. How did you find that editor, BTW? Also, do I need the latest version of the class in CVS or will it jive with 5.4?

Hi there,

I found TinyMCE using the htmlarea website (which is now just a directory of html area editors).

You must use the CVS version of PME - it will not work on the release version.
